My work uses both original characters and inspiration from manga and anime. At the moment I’m hyper focused on Jujutsu Kaisen.
I’m Maria and I live in Munich, Germany. I have been making art with my hands for as long as I can remember: I studied jewellery at the Academy of Folk Arts in St Petersburg, worked in a stone cutting workshop, taught sculpture and drawing to children and designed sportswear for aerial acrobats. I started working with ceramics three years ago and I intend to follow this path for the rest of my life, or until I find something else to concentrate on 🫣
My pottery is inspired by folklore, magic and my newfound love of manga, anime and cosplay. It starts with simple ingredients: clay, engobes and glazes, and is then shaped to express my ideas. I don’t work with a potter’s wheel, but let my hands guide me as I create my ceramic characters.

I exhibited my work at various fairs and conventions in Russia and Germany. My cosplay related work was shown at KAIDAN: Ghost Story I in Mainz.
